The UCLA Collaborative Centers for Integrative Medicine (CCIM) is a UCLA system-wide program committed to the study and application of integrative medicine. CCIM sponsors public and professional education, facilitates research and promotes the appropriate practice of complementary and alternative medicine.
Goals:
- Educate the public and the campus community on issues of complementary, alternative, and integrative approaches to health and well-being.
- Foster appropriate application of these practices at UCLA and in the local community.
- Promote innovative research in integrative medicine, positive health, and the integration of mind, body and spirit committed to the development of an evidenced-based body of knowledge to inform practitioners, the public and health care communities.
- Represent the UCLA academic integrative medicine community on a national and international level promoting a new medicine that integrates multidisciplinary approaches.
Lobby for increased private and public resources devoted to the study and application of integrative medicine at UCLA and in the local community.
